A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE 2022 REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE; SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION, FILING AND ADOPTION OF CONFERENCE REPORTS ON CERTAIN APPROPRIATION BILLS, REVENUE BILLS AND OTHER BILLS; AND SETTING THE DATE OF SINE DIE ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2022 REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.

     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the 2022 Regular Session of the Legislature is extended for a period of thirty (30) days from the final day of the ninety (90) calendar days of the 2022 Regular Session of the Legislature, under the provisions of Section 36, Mississippi Constitution of 1890.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That all of the deadlines and other provisions imposed by Joint Rule No. 40, are suspended for the purpose of permitting the further consideration, filing and adoption of conference reports, after the deadlines for those actions in Joint Rule No. 40, on the following bills that were in conference on March 28, 2022:  any appropriation bills, any revenue bills, House Bill Numbers 446, 453, 606, 770, 833, 1005, 1006, 1163, 1168, 1240, 1313, 1353, 1421, 1423, 1424, 1425, 1426 and 1427, Senate Bill Numbers 2063, 2120, 2419, 2422, 2780, 2820, 2822, 2844 and 2849, and House Concurrent Resolution Number 39, 2022 Regular Session.  Appropriation bills and revenue bills are those bills that are designated as appropriation bills and revenue bills for the purpose of the deadlines imposed by Joint Rule No. 40.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the 2022 Regular Session of the Legislature will stand adjourned Sine Die at 12:00 midnight, Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
