Senate Resolution 55

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE LAFAYETTE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BOWLING TEAM AND COACH KELLIE SUMRALL FOR THEIR THIRD CONSECUTIVE MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION CLASS II STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, we join the students, faculty, administration and parents at Lafayette High School in recognizing the Boys Bowling Team and Coach Kellie Sumrall for winning their third consecutive Mississippi High School Activities Association Class II State Championship; and

WHEREAS, the members of the 2021 Lafayette Boys Championship Bowling Team are: Jakob Robertson, Levi Freeman, Xavier Wallace, Tyler Coleman, Trystan Fiew, Walker Starnes, Seth Cohen, Tristan Bryant, and Coach Kellie Sumrall; and

WHEREAS, each member of the team is a student leader at Lafayette High School, working extremely hard to be supportive of other members of the team; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize this group of student athletes who have brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Lafayette High School Boys Bowling Team and Coach Kellie Sumrall for their third consecutive Mississippi High School Activities Association Class II State Championship, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best wishes for future success.

be it further resolved, that this resolution be presented to Coach Kellie Sumrall for the team and Lafayette High School Principal Dr. Glenn Kitchens, forwarded to the Lafayette County Board of Education and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
