AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE VICKSBURG WARREN COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE VICKSBURG WARREN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THAD COCHRAN MISSISSIPPI CENTER FOR INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY PROJECT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to execute an agreement with the Vicksburg Warren County Economic Development Foundation and to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) to the Vicksburg Warren Economic Development Foundation for the benefit of the Thad Cochran Mississippi Center for Innovation and Technology project.
(2) This section shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2031.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
