AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO DEXTER FOSTER OF LEE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Dexter Foster of Lee County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of the crime of strong armed robbery in 2003 in Lee County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve ten (10) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  His sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five (5) years.  He violated probation and his probation was revoked; he was sentenced on May 20, 2004, in Lee County Circuit Court to serve a term of two (2) years followed by three (3) years' probation.  Dexter Foster was released on May 6, 2005, and his probation was terminated on August 1, 2008.  Since that time, he has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
