AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO THE FAMILY AND YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES DIVISION, A NONPROFIT CORPORATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually from its general fund in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to the Family and Youth Opportunities Division, a Mississippi nonprofit corporation that provides services to families and youth within the county by offering community service programs.

     (2)  The contribution authorized under subsection (1) of this section may occur if the division has maintained its 501(c)(3) status as a Mississippi nonprofit corporation under the laws, rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service and has filed federal and state tax returns, as required by such laws, in a timely fashion and has provided to the board of supervisors proof of such timely filing of such returns.

     (3)  This section shall be repealed from and after September 30, 2025.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
