AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE TOWN OF BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI, TO TRANSFER CERTAIN SURPLUS FUNDS FROM ITS GAS SYSTEM REVENUE FUND TO THE TOWN'S WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENTS FUND FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 27-105-367, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other provisions of law to the contrary, the governing authorities of the Town of Byhalia, Mississippi, is authorized, in their discretion, by order spread upon its minutes, to transfer an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) from its gas system revenue fund to the town's water and sewer departments fund during fiscal year 2021 for infrastructure improvements.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
