AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPLEMENT ANY OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE COLONEL GUY GROFF STATE VARIABLE COMPENSATION PLAN; TO AUTHORIZE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI TO IMPLEMENT ANY OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE COLONEL GUY GROFF STATE VARIABLE COMPENSATION PLAN; TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TO IMPLEMENT ANY OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE COLONEL GUY GROFF STATE VARIABLE COMPENSATION PLAN; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation may implement, subject to available funds, any of the components of the Colonel Guy Groff State Variable Compensation Plan, including but not limited to, realignment, in-service cost of living, reallocations, reclassification, new hire salary determination, including the establishment of department specific occupational job classifications; realignment of department specific occupational classifications; reallocation of positions to department specific occupational job classifications; and on a case-by-case basis, within funds available, make corrective salary adjustments to the compensation of employees where an inequity exists based on education, experience or level of supervisory authority.

     SECTION 2.  The Attorney General of the State of Mississippi may implement, subject to available funds, any of the components of the Colonel Guy Groff State Variable Compensation Plan, including but not limited to, realignment, in-service cost of living, reallocations, reclassification, new hire salary determination, including the establishment of agency specific occupational job classifications; realignment of agency specific occupational classifications; reallocation of positions to agency specific occupational job classifications; and on a case-by-case basis, within funds available, make corrective salary adjustments to the compensation of employees where an inequity exists based on education, experience or level of supervisory authority.

     SECTION 3.  The Executive Director of the Department of Environmental Quality may implement, subject to available funds, any of the components of the Colonel Guy Groff State Variable Compensation Plan, including but not limited to, realignment, in-service cost of living, reallocations, reclassification, new hire salary determination, including the establishment of department specific occupational job classifications; realignment of department specific occupational classifications; reallocation of positions to department specific occupational job classifications; and on a case-by-case basis, within funds available, make corrective salary adjustments to the compensation of employees where an inequity exists based on education, experience or level of supervisory authority.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2021.
