COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No. 1784

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

     SECTION 1.  Upon the effective date of this act, the State Fiscal Officer shall transfer the sum of One Hundred Eighty-one Million Seven Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($181,775,000.00) from the Budget Contingency Fund to the Unemployment Compensation Fund. 

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

     AN ACT TO DIRECT THE STATE FISCAL OFFICER TO TRANSFER $181,775,000.00 FROM THE BUDGET CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FUND;  AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
