Senate Resolution 29

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING JOANNE DANIELS FOR BEING SELECTED AS "INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR" AT THE JEFFERSON DAVIS CAMPUS OF THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

WHEREAS, JoAnne Daniels, a resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, has been selected as "Instructor of the Year" at the Jefferson Davis Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in recognition of her distinguished service to the college; and

WHEREAS, the award was established by the Alumni Association of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to honor instructors at the college, and the recipient of the award is chosen from nominations submitted by students, faculty and administrators on the basis of teaching excellence, college service, community service and professional development; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Daniels, a Criminal Justice Instructor, has been employed at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for the past ten years; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne worked for the Harrison County School District prior to her career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne received her Associate of Arts degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi, and Master of Education degree from William Carey College; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize an outstanding teacher who has dedicated her career to teaching the young people of this state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate JoAnne Daniels for being selected as "Instructor of the Year" at the Jefferson Davis Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and extend to her our heartiest wishes of success in all her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to JoAnne Daniels, forwarded to the President of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
