AN ACT TO DIRECT THE STATE FISCAL OFFICER TO TRANSFER $250,000,000.00 FROM THE BUDGET CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FUND; TO DIRECT THE STATE FISCAL OFFICER TO TRANSFER CERTAIN MONIES NOT EXPENDED BY DECEMBER 30, 2020, INTO THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Upon the effective date of this act, the State Fiscal Officer shall transfer the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($250,000,000.00) from the Budget Contingency Fund to the Unemployment Compensation Fund.
SECTION 2. If all of the monies appropriated by House Bill No. 1795, 2020 Regular Session, have not been expended by December 30, 2020, the State Fiscal Officer shall transfer any funds remaining from that appropriation into the Unemployment Compensation Fund.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
