AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No.  666

     AMEND on line 40 by striking the underlined language and restoring the original language thereon as follows:  ten (10)

     AMEND on line 41 by inserting before the period thereon the following:

", and a child who is under the age of twelve (12) years of age may be committed to the state training school only if adjudicated delinquent for a crime of violence as defined in Section 97-3-2"

     AMEND on line 153 by inserting before the period thereon the following:

"unless the child has been adjudicated delinquent for a crime of violence as defined in Section 97-3-2"

     FURTHER AMEND the title on line 2 by striking the words "RAISE THE MINIMUM AGE AT WHICH" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "REVISE THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH" and on line 3 by inserting before the semicolon the words "OR TO SECURE DETENTION"
