Senate Concurrent Resolution 630

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE LEGISLATIVE INTENT THAT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME SHALL BE THE YEAR-ROUND STANDARD TIME OF THE ENTIRE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That:

     (1)  If the United States Congress amends 15 USC Section 260(a), to authorize states to observe daylight saving time year-round, it is the intent of the Legislature that daylight saving time shall be the year-round standard time of the entire State of Mississippi and all of its political subdivisions.

     (2)  This resolution shall be known and may be cited as the "Mississippi Daylight Protection Resolution."
