AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO AMANDA HAMBLIN, OF CLAY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Amanda Hamblin, of Clay County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction of the crime of armed robbery in 2001 in Clay County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve six (6) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  She was released on probation on October 10, 2007.  Her probation was terminated on March 18, 2011.  Since that time she has conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
