AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO CHARLES FRANK HOLLOWAY, JR., OF COPIAH COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Charles Frank Holloway, Jr., of Copiah County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction on March 3, 1999, for the crime of Grand Larceny in Copiah County, Mississippi, and sentenced to serve two (2) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He was released from the custody of Earned Release Supervision on October 4, 2000. He was discharged from Earned Release Supervision on January 19, 2001.
He was sentenced on March 4, 2008, in Copiah County, Mississippi, as a result of his conviction for sale of cocaine, and sentenced to serve eight (8) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He was released from such custody to parole on March 15, 2010. He was discharged from parole on June 10, 2015. The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
