AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO DONNA KAYE TAYLOR OF PANOLA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Donna Kaye Taylor of Panola County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction for Conspiracy (two counts) and Obtaining money under False Pretense (three counts) on April 4, 1996, in Tunica County, Mississippi, and sentenced to serve two years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections on each count, followed by three years probation.  The charges ran concurrently.

     She was released from custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections to Earned Release Supervision on November 16, 1997.  She was released from Earned Release Supervision on March 5, 1998.  She was discharged from probation on September 14, 2010.  The Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
