AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO MIKO BUTLER OF PIKE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Miko Butler of Pike County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction for the crime of embezzlement, conspiracy to commit the crime of embezzlement, forgery and conspiracy to commit the crime of forgery in Pike County, Mississippi, to serve a term of one (1) year of house arrest and five (5) years probation for each charge.  The charges ran concurrently.  She was released to probation on August 29, 2004.  She completed probation and was discharged on August 28, 2009.

     The Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
