AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO JAMES VAUGHN OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to James Vaughn of Tunica County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction for grand larceny on March 9, 2001, in Tunica County Circuit Court to a term of four (4) years probation, which was revoked for violations when he was sentenced on September 14, 2001, in Tunica County Circuit Court, and on September 25, 2001, in Tunica County Circuit Court for the sell of cocaine and grand larceny to a total term of 10 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  The Mississippi Department of Corrections discharged James Vaughn on December 14, 2011, after he completed earned release supervision.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
