AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No.  722

BY: Representatives Reynolds, Johnson (94th)

AMEND by inserting the following after line 18 and renumbering succeeding sections accordingly:

     "SECTION 1.  (1)  This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Improve Mississippi Act of 2018."

     (2)  It is the intent of the Legislature that this act is the first phase in a needed comprehensive state and local road, street and bridge improvements plan and that the Legislature commits to make necessary transportation improvements throughout the state to ensure that our state's economic development will be maximized and that the transportation needs of our people will be adequately met.  The Legislature commits to provide necessary resources to accomplish this goal in an expeditious manner."    

AMEND further on line 121 by striking "1" and inserting in lieu thereof "2"

AMEND further the title to conform
