House Resolution 97

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MRS. JANET HILDEBRANT ON EARNING THE HONOR OF HERNANDO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S TEACHER OF THE YEAR.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Janet Hildebrant was named Hernando Elementary School's Teacher of the Year in recognition of her abundance of hard work and unwavering dedication to providing an excellent education to her students; and

WHEREAS, filled with an eagerness to mold the innocent and impressionable minds of the younger generation, Mrs. Hildebrant, or Mrs. H as her students call her, graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Northwest Community College and Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi in 2006, fulfilling the required obligations, courses and credits to become certified in K-8, Elementary Education, and K-12 in English and Social Studies; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. H is in her 12th year as a first grade teacher

at Hernando Elementary, and throughout her tenure, her students have flourished under her tutelage, as she has taught them the building blocks of arithmetic, new and intriguing vocabulary words, the joys of reading and writing and the importance of spelling words; and

WHEREAS, in those rare instances when she is not at the blackboard providing her students with the educational necessities that will help them in their coming school years, Mrs. H enjoys spending time with her husband Charles of 37 years, her two children, Jonathan, who is a 2010 graduate of Delta State University with a degree in aviation, and Cayla, who graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in wildlife management and her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, when Mrs. Hildebrant enters her classroom each day, she energizes her students with exciting and engaging lessons, helping them comprehend the world around them and understand that learning is fun, as her passion for education exudes from her very core, and she continuously radiates excellence, invigorates all of her students with her wisdom and inspires them to be the best they can be; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend outstanding Mississippians such as Mrs. Janet Hildebrant, whose superb leadership and instruction as a first grade teacher at Hernando Elementary School has truly made a lasting impact and bettered the lives of the youth of our great Magnolia State:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mrs. Janet Hildebrant on earning the honor of Hernando Elementary School's Teacher of the Year and express best wishes for continued success in all of her future professional and personal endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mrs. Janet Hildebrant and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
