AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO STANLEY E. STUBBS OF PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Stanley E. Stubbs of Prentiss County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of burglary/larceny-residential in Prentiss County, Mississippi, in March 2007, to serve a term of ten (10) years, with eight (8) years suspended, two (2) years to serve followed by five (5) years probation.  He was released from the custody of the Department of Corrections on July 21, 2009.  He completed probation, and was discharged on April 30, 2009.  The Legislature has been reliably informed that he is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
