AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OF STOLEN FIREARMS; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to any criminal liability for receiving or possession of stolen property or any other applicable criminal offense, any person who sells a stolen firearm shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) or imprisonment for one (1) year, or both.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2013.
