AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEDUCTIBLE PROVISIONS OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE POLICIES SHALL NOT APPLY TO DAMAGES TO THE WINDSHIELD OF MOTOR VEHICLES COVERED UNDER SUCH POLICIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The deductible provisions of any policy of motor vehicle insurance, delivered or issued in this state by an authorized insurer, providing comprehensive coverage or combined additional coverage shall not be applicable to damage to the windshield of any motor vehicle covered under such policy.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2010, and shall apply to policies or contracts issued or renewed on or after that date.
