A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF MR. WILLIE FLYNT LEE, AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE FOR HIS PUBLIC SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the State of Mississippi lost a great citizen recently when Willie Flynt Lee of Mendenhall, Mississippi, at the age of 44, entered into eternal life with his Heavenly Father; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lee will be remembered as an outstanding member of the Puckett Volunteer Fire Department, a devoted citizen, caretaker and a compassionate friend; and
WHEREAS, certified as a fireman by the Mississippi Fire Academy, Mr. Lee worked with the Town of Puckett, Mississippi, and made a career saving lives and protecting our state's citizens; and
WHEREAS, a committed and devoted fireman, Mr. Lee received the award of most calls for several years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lee had a joy for life and a love for the people of his community which was shown by his service and dedication in fighting fires and saving lives; and
WHEREAS, for the past years when Christmastime came near, Mr. Lee was always ready with festive joy to play Santa for the local community in the town Christmas Tree lighting; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lee's legacy will be remembered through his daughter Amanda Wright of the Magnolia State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lee leaves a heritage of community involvement and a lifestyle that reminds us all to love one another; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to commend the life of such a truly remarkable and giving individual as Mr. lee:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend the life and legacy of Willie Flynt Lee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the family of Mr. Willie Flynt Lee and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
