AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE MATCHING FUNDS TO THE GULFPORT CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER TO AID IN THE RECONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING THE CENTER LOST IN HURRICANE KATRINA; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute from any available funds of the county, matching funds in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per month for not more than twenty-four (24) months, to the Gulfport Christian Life Center, L.L.C. for the purpose of aiding in the reconstruction of the building the Gulfport Christian Life Center lost in Hurricane Katrina, which provided space for its "Feed My Sheep" program that provides free meals to the less fortunate.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
