AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO HOWARD "BUTCH" NEWCOMB OF PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Howard "Butch" Newcomb of Prentiss County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of the crime of receiving stolen property in 1991 in Prentiss County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve twenty-four (24) months' probation under supervision of the Department of Corrections.  His probation was terminated on January 29, 1992.  Since that time, he has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
