AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 145 IN CLARKE COUNTY AS THE "JOHN F. SHIRLEY, SR." MEMORIAL HIGHWAY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) That segment of Mississippi Highway 145 lying in Clarke County beginning at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 145 and Mississippi Highway 514 and then extending southerly to the entrance of Clarke State Park is designated and shall be known as the "John F. Shirley, Sr. Memorial Highway."
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1).
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
