AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE SUPREME COURT RULES COMMITTEE TO STUDY METHODS BY WHICH INCREASE IN AVAILABLE JURY POOLS COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Supreme Court Rules Committee shall study methods to enlarge the available jury pools in the state and shall make the appropriate recommendations for consideration and implementation as the court deems necessary and appropriate to the Mississippi Supreme Court not later than November 1, 2007, said recommendations to be made and filed with the Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of Courts, the four (4) Chairmen of the Senate Judiciary and House Judiciary Committees, the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
