AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF STATE GENERAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR FISCAL YEARS 2007 AND 2008, THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007, THE MISSISSIPPI TORT CLAIMS BOARD FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007, THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE-DIVISION OF MEDICAID FOR FISCAL YEARS 2007 AND 2008, THE MISSISSIPPI SUPREME COURT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007, AND AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI SUPREME COURT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of providing fifty-one (51) school health nurses for the Mississippi Department of Health for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007...........................................

SECTION 2. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi Department of Health, for the purpose of purchasing an antiviral medication for the Pandemic Flu, for the period beginning upon passage of this act and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.................... $ 4,930,201.00.
SECTION 3. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, for the purpose of providing additional funding for the East Mississippi State Hospital, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007...............................................................

SECTION 4. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, for the purpose of funding Medicaid match at the community mental health centers, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007...... $ 2,000,000.00.
SECTION 5. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, for the purpose of providing funding for a group home for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.................... $ 2,000,000.00.
SECTION 6. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi Tort Claims Board, for the purpose of purchasing property insurance on state property as required by the Stafford Act, Section 311, Paragraph 5154 and 44 CFR 206.252 and 206.253, and House Bill No. 4, Fifth Extraordinary Session of 2005, for the period beginning upon passage of this act and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.................... $ 12,000,000.00.
SECTION 7. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund, not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses of the Governor's Office-Division of Medicaid, for the purpose of funding a temporary program to provide nonemergency transportation to locations for necessary dialysis services as authorized in House Bill 1471, 2007 Regular Session, for the period beginning upon passage of this act and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008................................ $ 3,900,000.00.
SECTION 8. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of providing four law clerks, two (2) judicial assistants and special judges for Katrina related cases for the Mississippi Supreme Court for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 ............................................... $ 628,286.00.
SECTION 9. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Supreme Court which is comprised of special source funds collected by, or otherwise available to, the court for the purpose of providing appropriation authority for the Administrative Office of Courts to fund local personnel salary increases for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007................ $ 200,000.00.
SECTION 10. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 11. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
