House Resolution 98

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CORINTH HIGH SCHOOL WARRIORS GOLF TEAM ON WINNING THE 2006 STATE 3A CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Corinth High School Warriors Golf Team brought home a well-deserved state title in 2006 when the team captured the State 3A Golf Championship, boasting an impressive 10-2 record; and

WHEREAS, Josh Webb played extremely well to be named State Medalist, while Brandon Robbins played exceptionally well also, being selected as the State Runner-up Medalist; and

WHEREAS, members of the Warrior Golf Team are: Brandon Robbins, Josh Webb, Caleb Bumpas, Carson Butler and Camp Pittman; and

WHEREAS, the Warriors have been superbly coached and inspired by Coach Keith Greene, who has motivated and challenged the team members to strive for their best; and

WHEREAS, the 2006 Warriors have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitude reflect great credit upon the individual players and their coaches and bring honor to Corinth High School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Corinth High School Warriors Golf Team and their coach, Keith Greene, for winning the 2006 Class 3A State Championship and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Corinth High School, Coach Keith Greene and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
