A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF JOINT RULE NO. 40 FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF ANY APPROPRIATION BILLS AND REVENUE BILLS THAT DIED IN CONFERENCE ON MARCH 24, 2007.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the deadline in Joint Rule No. 40 that requires conference reports on appropriation and revenue bills to be filed on the 82nd day of a 90-day session, and the provision of Joint Rule No. 40 that requires conference reports to be filed with the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House no later than the time of adjournment on the day prior to being called up and considered, are suspended for the purpose of permitting the further consideration and passage of any appropriation bills and revenue bills that were in conference and died as a result of conference reports on those bills not being filed by 8:00 p.m. on March 24, 2007.
