House Bill 1817

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO ANY SOUP KITCHEN LOCATED WITHIN THE COUNTY.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute annually, in an amount not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00), to any soup kitchen located within Jackson County, for the purpose of assisting the soup kitchen in providing free meals to the needy.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
