AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WARREN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO RECEIVE CERTAIN FUNDS FROM AN INCREASE IN THE RATE OF COMMERCIAL MOBILE RADIO SERVICE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE (CMRS) CHARGE WITHIN THE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE (E-911) DISTRICT ENCOMPASSING WARREN COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  Notwithstanding Section 19-5-333(2), Mississippi Code of 1972, to the contrary, the Commercial Mobile Radio Service (CMRS) Board is authorized to collect and distribute a CMRS emergency telephone service charge for Warren County on each CMRS customer whose place of primary use is within Warren County at a rate of up to Three Dollars ($3.00) per month per CMRS connection within the Emergency Telephone Service (E-911) District encompassing the whole Warren County.

     (2)  The Emergency Telephone Service (E-911) District encompassing the whole Warren County, shall receive funds that shall not be less than seventy percent (70%) of the total funds collected by the CMRS Board based on the rate of up to Three Dollars ($3.00) per month per CMRS connection within such district, and such funds shall be used to provide E-911 service, including capital improvements and for the district's normal operations in providing wireless E-911 service.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
