AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE TO ALLOW COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO USE THE OLD NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY WITHOUT CHARGE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Batesville are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, by resolution duly adopted and entered on the minutes, to allow community service clubs and organizations to use, on a rent-free basis, certain real property located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway 51 and Eureka Road, such property being more particularly known as and referred to herein as the Old National Guard Armory, with the utilities of the aforementioned property being paid by the City of Batesville and the County of Panola.

     (2)  The provisions of this section shall stand repealed on December 31, 2012.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
