House Bill 1803

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE GULFPORT CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute from any available funds, an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per month for a period of two (2) years to the Gulfport Christian Life Center, for the purpose of reconstructing the building that provides space to operate "Feed My Sheep" that was lost in Hurricane Katrina.  "Feed My Sheep" has provided regular free meals to hungry, less fortunate and homeless individuals and families in Gulfport and surrounding community since 1999.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
