AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CLARKSDALE AUTHORITY TO EXPEND MUNICIPAL FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE COAHOMA COUNTY HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Mayor and Commissioners for the City of Clarksdale are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, by resolution duly adopted and entered on the minutes, to expend funds from the city's general fund and/or from the proceeds of bonds issued pursuant to Section 21-33-301 et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972, or as may be thereafter amended, in an amount not to exceed a total of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) within a period of three (3) years from the effective date of this act, to support the construction, maintenance and equipping of the Coahoma County Higher Education Center.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
