House Bill 1783

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE OWNER AND/OR DEVELOPER OF "RIVER HILLS," A MASTER PLANNED COMMUNITY CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 800 ACRES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.    

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may enter into a development agreement with the owner or developer, or both, of a master planned community consisting of approximately eight hundred (800) acres within Harrison County, Mississippi, to be known as "River Hills."  In the board's exercise of the authority granted by this act, all of the provisions of Section 19-5-10, Mississippi Code of 1972, shall be applicable except that the real estate described in the master plan for River Hills may consist of less than three thousand five hundred (3,500) acres.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
