AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PIKE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN PIKE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO KEEP PIKE COUNTY BEAUTIFUL, INCORPORATED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Pike County, Mississippi, in its discretion, and the governing authorities of the City of McComb, Mississippi, the City of Magnolia, Mississippi, and the City of Summit, Mississippi, in their discretion, each may contribute during calendar year 2007 such amount as the board of supervisors of the county and the governing authorities of such municipalities deem appropriate, out of any available funds of the county and out of any available funds of the respective municipalities, to Keep Pike County Beautiful, Incorporated.  The Board of Supervisors of Pike County can donate up to Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($12,500.00) and the City of McComb, the City of Magnolia and the City of Summit can donate no more than Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00).

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
