AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO TRANSFER TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL CENTER CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, ALSO KNOWN AS CENTRAL FARMERS' MARKET; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Department of Finance and Administration, upon meeting the requirements of Section 29-1-1, may convey, on behalf of the State of Mississippi, certain state-owned real property known as Central Farmers' Market and any building located thereon, located in the City of Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi, to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the property being more particularly described as being located in the west northernmost corner of the intersection formed by Woodrow Wilson Avenue and West Street.  The property is to be used as a research park for the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

     SECTION 2.  The State of Mississippi shall retain all mineral rights in the property conveyed pursuant to this act.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2007.
