AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 911, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2006, TO EXTEND THE DATE OF REPEAL ON THE PROVISION OF LAW THAT AUTHORIZES THE CLAY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO RECEIVE FEDERAL FUNDS ORIGINATING FROM THE CLAY COUNTY UNITED WAY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CLAY COUNTY COMMUNITY DAY CARE CENTER, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 911, Local and Private Laws of 2006, is amended as follows:

     Section 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Clay County, Mississippi, may receive, on behalf of the Clay County Community Day Care Center, Inc., a certain amount of federal funds from the Clay County United Way, which are to be used as a source of matching funds by the Mississippi Department of Human Services Office of Children and Youth through the CPE federal draw down program.

     (2)  The funds received of the Clay County United Way, being a subgrant, shall only be disbursed upon the failure of the Mississippi Department of Human Services Office of Children and Youth to receive maximum funding from the State of Mississippi.

     Section 2.  The provisions of this act shall be repealed on July 1, 2009.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
