AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE NEW DINING HALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY LOCATED IN LORMAN, MISSISSIPPI, SHALL BE NAMED THE DR. CLINTON BRISTOW, JR., DINING FACILITY; TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SECURITY IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, SHALL BE NAMED THE HENRY J. KIRKSEY BUILDING; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The new dining hall, currently under construction on the campus of Alcorn State University, located in Lorman, Mississippi, shall be named the Dr. Clinton Bristow, Jr., Dining Facility.  Alcorn State University shall prepare a distinctive plaque to be placed in a prominent place within the Dr. Clinton Bristow, Jr., Dining Facility, which states the background, accomplishments and service to the university of Dr. Bristow.

     SECTION 2.  The building located at 1235 Echelon Parkway in Jackson, Mississippi, and in which the Mississippi Department of Employment Security is housed, shall be named the Henry J. Kirksey Building.  The Department of Finance and Administration shall prepare a distinctive plaque, to be placed in a prominent place within the Henry J. Kirksey Building, which states the background, accomplishments and service to the state of the Honorable Henry J. Kirksey.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
