AN ACT TO ALLOW EVIDENCE OF PAST SEX OFFENSES IN COURT PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING A PERSON CONVICTED OF A SEX OFFENSE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In any court proceeding involving a person who has been convicted of a sex offense, as that term is defined in Section 45-33-23, evidence of any such sex offense committed by such person shall be admissible.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2007.
