REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

 

MADAM PRESIDENT AND MR. SPEAKER:

 

   We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:

 

S. B. No. 2685:  Emerging Crops Fund; extend repeal date on provision authorizing funds to be utilized for loans for minority economic development (MDA).

 

  We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

 

   1.  That the House recede from its Amendment No. 1.

 

   2.  That the Senate and House adopt the following amendment:

 

 

     AMEND on line 154 by striking the word "For" and inserting the following language in lieu thereof:

Except as otherwise provided, for

     AMEND FURTHER by inserting the following language after the period on Line 163:

However, an individual whose personal net worth exceeds Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) shall not be considered to be an economically disadvantaged individual.
