AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE COUNTY FUNDS TO NEW HOPE VILLAGE TO SUPPORT ITS EFFORTS IN PROVIDING A SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) during fiscal year 2006 from any available funds of the county to New Hope Village for the purpose of providing support to New Hope Village's efforts to provide a shelter for the benefit of displaced or homeless individuals in Marshall County.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
