AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE COUNTY FUNDS DURING CALENDAR YEARS 2005 AND 2007 TO THE INSTITUTE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., TO ASSIST THE INSTITUTE IN ESTABLISHING AND OPERATING AN ADDITIONAL HEAD START CLASS FOR CHILDREN IN TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL VEHICLES TO BE USED TO TRANSPORT THE CHILDREN AND TO PROVIDE DAY CARE VOUCHERS FOR PARENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) during calendar year 2006, and an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) in calendar year 2007, from any available funds of the county, to the Institute of Community Services, Inc., to assist the institute in establishing and operating an additional Head Start class for three-year-old children in Tunica County; to purchase additional vehicles to be used to transport children to and from the Head Start facility; and to provide day care vouchers to parents of Head Start students.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
