AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND, MISSISSIPPI, IN THEIR DISCRETION, TO COLLECT FEES FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL AND TO COLLECT SUCH FEES FROM WATER/SEWER BILLS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Cleveland, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to fix and collect fees for mosquito control.  Such fees may be assessed to the water/sewer bills of the consumers of the municipality and may be collected from such water/sewer bills by means of a single unified statement for such water and sewer and other public health and sanitation purposes.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
