House Resolution 86

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING GARY BAILEY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY.

     WHEREAS, Gary Clayton Bailey, an architect who plays a key role in education, was born April 25, 1956, to Clayton and Patsy Bailey; and

     WHEREAS, growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, Gary knew since the age of eight that he wanted to be an architect; and

     WHEREAS, Gary Bailey graduated with a bachelor of science degree in architecture from Mississippi State University in 1979; and

     WHEREAS, he has more than 20 years of experience in architecture and in 1987 was instrumental in forming Johnson, Bailey, Henderson and McNeel (JBHM) Architects, P.A.; and

     WHEREAS, Gary has managed more than $300 million in major education design projects and he is CEO of JBHM Education Group providing school improvement plans; and

     WHEREAS, Gary has a great interest in community service and is passionate about serving all the children of the state; and

     WHEREAS, Gary is President of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and Chairman of the annual Elvis Festival; and

     WHEREAS, Gary is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Tupelo, Mississippi, and is married to his loving wife, Kay, and they are the proud parents of Kim and Abby Bailey; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to commend exemplary citizens such as Gary Bailey:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend Gary Clayton Bailey on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Gary Bailey and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
