House Concurrent Resolution 74

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO FURTHER REVIEW CONTRACTS AWARDING THE MANAGEMENT OF UNITED STATES PORTS AND HARBORS TO BUSINESSES OWNED BY FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS.

     WHEREAS, the sale of management rights of our nation's ports and harbors to companies owned by foreign governments that have shown a lack of support towards the United States and its allies may be detrimental to our national security and free and unrestricted trade with our allies:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby urge the President of the United States to further review contracts awarding the management of our nation's ports and harbors to companies owned in whole or in part by foreign governments.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the President of the United States, and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
