AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF CLEVELAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR MOSQUITO AND PEST CONTROL BY FIXING AND COLLECTING FEES FOR SUCH SERVICE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Cleveland, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to fix and collect fees to maintain a mosquito and pest control program within the municipality, and such fees may be assessed to and collected from the water and wastewater/sewer bills of the consumers of the municipality by means of a single unified statement for such water, wastewater/sewer and other public health sanitation purposes.

     (2)  The provisions of this section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2008.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
