AN ACT TO REQUIRE PHYSICIANS AND PSYCHIATRISTS WHO DIAGNOSE CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER OR ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER TO REPORT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF THOSE CHILDREN TO THE RESPECTIVE SCHOOL DISTRICTS WHERE THE CHILDREN ATTEND SCHOOL; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Each physician or psychiatrist licensed in the State of Mississippi who diagnoses any children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) shall report the total number of those children to the respective school districts where the children attend school.  The report shall be made to the school districts by July 1 of each year.

      SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2006.
