Senate Amendments to House Bill No. 1781

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Amory, Mississippi, in their discretion, are authorized to provide in-kind services, financial contributions and assistance in obtaining grants and other financing for the benefit of the Amory Historic Cemetery Corporation for the purpose of providing maintenance and upkeep to the historic cemetery.  The value of in-kind services and financial contributions provided by the city under this section shall not exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) annually.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF AMORY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE IN-KIND SERVICES, FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING GRANTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE AMORY HISTORIC CEMETERY CORPORATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
